The New Zealand team prepared a T20 match with these three teams Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand. As a warm-up to the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the 2022 New Zealand tri-nation series was held in October 2022. New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Pakistan played a tri-series of Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed its participation in the tournament on Jun 26, 2022.
According to New Zealand Cricket, all matches will be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Jun 28, 2022. The New Zealand team played a tri-series match from Oct 07 – Oct 14 with three teams. They want to play such games before the start of the T20 world cup so that everyone can perform well in the world cup.
If there is any mistake in any team game, these matches can understand who went wrong and what changes should be made, and three units can correct those for the group very quickly. Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Shariful Islam, and Soumya Sarkar were named skilled players for Bangladesh.
Pakistan kept Shahnawaz Dahani, Mohammad Haris, and Fakhar Zaman in reserve. Blair Tickner was added to New Zealand’s squad ahead of the tournament. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell suffered a broken finger while practicing at the nets, which ruled him out of the series. Dane Cleaver called up Dane Cleaver instead. Lockie Ferguson was ruled out of the series due to an abdominal injury.
Pakistan and New Zealand reached the final after Bangladesh was eliminated in the tri-series. New Zealand vs. Pakistan Final match was held at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, on Oct 13.
Pakistan vs. New Zealand Tri-Series Final Match
Greetings and welcome to the final of this tri-series, which provided the three teams with a trial-and-error platform to improve ahead of the World Cup. This tournament didn’t seem to benefit Bangladesh much, losing all their games. They don’t seem to be gathering momentum in the lead-up to the showpiece event. As for the finalists, New Zealand and Pakistan have not learned many new things about their squads, but at least they have been winning. Both teams won both games; they played against each other. In a Cup final, anything can happen, especially in this format, especially when Pakistan is around. I hope we get a great contest. Soon, the toss will take place, and the teams will be announced.
Pakistan won the toss, elected to field, and allowed New Zealand to bat. Pakistan love to play with targets, and they have played more final matches. In most of the finals, the game is won by bowling first, so in today’s final, the Pakistan team also won the toss and bowled.

Kane Williamson:
Great game of cricket. Pakistan is on the extreme side. The way they changed the momentum in their favor was great. Disappointing for us. You always want 20 more runs, but the wicket was on the lower side, and we have generally operated well in this series. Credit to Pakistan; they hit the ball beautifully. No offense to anyone here. It’s a game of small margins. Even for an over that goes for too many, you aren’t far away from changing the game in your favor. That belief is crucial for us. Pakistan is a great team. Nice to contribute; obviously, you want a few more and be on the winning side, but it felt good. I probably got a par total; I wanted a few more, but Pakistan’s death bowling was quite good. The Guys all did their roles well throughout the tournament.

Haris Rauf:
New Zealand played like true champions; They deserved to win but lost because of mistakes. They put us under pressure at crucial moments. We decided not to bat first, and New Zealand didn’t capitalize on their chances. We might have won the game today, but we had some lousy fielding. But I will try my best. I took two wickets with 22 runs in just four overs. But I should perform better.

Mohammad Nawaz Player of the Match:
I was backing myself when I went in to bat yesterday and today. I was confident in executing whatever practice I did in the nets. I batted in the middle order during the domestic games, which helped me. The way Haider Ali played gave us momentum, and when Sodhi came, I thought I should go at him because I was hitting with the wind. He (Haider) hit some boundaries, and I took my chances.

Pakistan Won by 5 Wickets Tri-Series and Was Sent to Warn T20 World Cup
Thanks for tuning in. Check out Deiva’s report. Lots are coming ahead with the T20 World Cup starting soon. It will be interesting to see how cricket is played there. It’s goodbye from me, Eknath, my co-commentator, Ankur Dhawan, and our scorer, Chandan Durrah. In the five-game series, Pakistan lost only one game. The more adaptable they were when they lost Babar and Rizwan in a chase, and the asking rate peaked, the happier they would be. New Zealand has a few gaps to plug, but Bracewell’s growth is on display today too, and Williamson getting a fifty will help grow the promise. Pak hit only one six in their 54 overs (last two games this) and six sixes in the previous six overs. Gaurav Sundararaman says the win predictor went from 33{0aa08e2fa7c16958c8546c982f471c474f05160f92f1c7351653e7a239af68b5} from the start of the Sodhi over to 88{0aa08e2fa7c16958c8546c982f471c474f05160f92f1c7351653e7a239af68b5} at the end. I hope Haider Ali’s arrival will make this game memorable. After all that criticism and failure, Haider Ali has done some justice to his talent in a big game. Hopefully, this innings will be the one that opens the door for many others in the world cup. May be Pak team will again peak at the right time.
Babar is presented with the trophy and soon mobbed by his mates, who are all in fine voices. The World Cup isn’t far away, but at least for tonight and maybe a day more, Pakistan will party. Whether they can win without Babar-Rizwan’s contributions has been the central discussion about their batting. A one-off game doesn’t define anything, but the fact that the middle order is stepping up in a big match will mean a lot to them. In terms of intent and pace, Nawaz and Haider look the part. With the World Cup just around the corner, Pakistan will be buzzing. The New Zealanders will be disappointed – losing at home tends to hurt more – but we all know how they surprise at ICC events—wishing both teams the best of luck in the World Cup. That being said, I’d like to sign off on behalf of Venkatesh AV.
