Although Ireland and Tucker, in particular, did not fold cheaply, they were put out of action in the fourth over. Their first five wickets fell for 25 runs early as they attempted to hit every ball to the boundary. During the game, Tucker kept the scoreboard ticking, and the lower order helped it, but he still had more than he could handle.
Despite Tucker’s unbeaten 71, Australia had a good chance of boosting their NRR, but Tucker’s unbeaten 71 has done more than enough to diminish those hopes. The rest of the bowlers, except for Hazlewood, had their names in the wicket column, but they did not win by 75 runs, which would have placed their NRR above England’s. The presentation season is just around the corner.
Andrew Balbirnie: The game (against Australia) is a big one for us. The second inning gives us a better idea of what we can accomplish. We are playing against the world champions today, so there has been excitement among the team. It’s an honour to face such a team.
Aaron Finch: Looks like a good surface; we would have bowled first. We must get the basics right. Our discussion has not yet touched on the net run rate. The Agar team has welcomed back Adam Zampa. Our selection was based on all factors, and we are comfortable with the team we got.

There was a lot more sluggishness on the wicket than we’d expected. We had a hard time getting a rhythm early in the innings as they changed their pace really well and bowled a lot of cutters. I didn’t feel the pressure at all. It has been an incredible experience working with the change room and support staff. There are times when you succeed and times when you fail when it comes to T20. Taking the pace off made it easier and harder for them when they went wide. I’m experiencing a hammy twinge, and I’ll get a scan tomorrow, since this has happened to me in the past. At the moment, it doesn’t appear to be a problem, but we will have to wait and see once the scan is completed. We are very optimistic (about our chances).

There was hardly any fighting. We bowled well in the first innings, but a few overs went our way, and we didn’t get the start with the bat, but to show fight at the end was excellent. We looked at the scoreboard and thought it probably wasn’t against us, but after looking at the wickets column, we thought it wasn’t our fault. This wicket suits him well, and he had a good World Cup.
Australia Won By 42 Runs
It was a good match for Australia, but they would have liked to have gotten more from it. As long as they haven’t lost, they stand a chance of beating their arch-rivals England tomorrow. It’s going to be a big game between England and New Zealand in this group. We’d love to have you there. I wish you a safe and happy journey until we meet again.
